About me

Sophia Toschka Arts - Präsentation abstrakte Künstlerin

My work

I'm Sophia Toschka, an artist from Northern Germany.
My abstract art is colorful, intuitive, and created without rigid rules.

I work with acrylics, mixed media, and various layers. I'm interested in how colors interact, how textures create depth, and how an abstract artwork can change the mood of a room.

My works evolve freely in the process. I don't plan every detail in advance but leave room for chance, movement, and what feels right in the moment. That's precisely what makes each piece truly unique.

In addition to independent works, I also create commissioned pieces. In these, I translate moods, color preferences, or special memories into an abstract artwork that is and remains personal.

If you're looking for art that doesn't need loud explanations but simply has an impact, you've come to the right place.

In my gallery, I showcase a selection of completed and sold works.

Why color

For me, color is not a decorative element, but a feeling.

It can open up spaces, calm them, or bring energy into them – often very subtly. I've also described why colorful art can transform rooms in a more detailed article.

When painting, I follow less fixed concepts than what feels right. Colors are allowed to meet, overlap, and change. That's exactly where depth emerges.

I love how color reacts to light and how it always appears different depending on its surroundings. A work of art only unfolds its full presence in the space for which it is intended.
